•The revelation came during a rapid-fire round with Harsha Bhogle at the BCCI’s award function in Delhi.
•Jaffer played 31 Tests for India from 2000-2008, scoring 1944 runs with five centuries.
•He is a domestic cricket legend, holding the record for most runs in the Ranji Trophy.
•Other players also shared their idols: Sanju Samson (Sachin Tendulkar), Abhishek Sharma (Yuvraj Singh), and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (Brian Lara, Yuvraj Singh).
