•Indian bowlers, led by Kapil Dev (3/23) and Laxman Sivaramakrishnan (3/35), restricted Pakistan to 176/9, with Javed Miandad top-scoring with 48.
•Krishnamachari Srikkanth (67) and Ravi Shastri (63*) forged a 103-run opening partnership, guiding India to a comfortable victory.
•Srikkanth was Player of the Match for his aggressive innings, while Shastri was named Player of the Tournament for his all-round brilliance.
