• Junaid Siddique became the first UAE cricketer to take five wickets in an ICC Men’s T20 World Cup match.
• The 33-year-old right-arm medium-pace bowler achieved figures of 5 for 35 in four overs against Canada in Delhi.
• This performance surpassed Karthik Meiyappan's previous best for UAE of 3 for 19 against Sri Lanka in 2022.
• Siddique is also only the second player from an associate nation to take a fifer in a T20 World Cup, after Ahsan Malik of the Netherlands.
• He dismissed key Canadian batsmen including Dilpreet Bajwa, Yuvraj Samra, Harsh Thaker, Shreyas Movva, and Saad Bin Zafar.
