KKR Ropes In Vidarbha Pacer Saurabh Dubey As Akash Deep's Injury Replacement
•Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has signed 28-year-old left-arm pacer Saurabh Dubey from Vidarbha as a replacement for the injured Akash Deep for IPL 2026.
•Akash Deep is rehabilitating from a serious lower back stress injury and is expected to be out for three months, missing the entire IPL season.
•Dubey, who went unsold in the IPL 2026 auction, has joined the KKR camp at Eden Gardens and is known for his swing bowling.
•He has played 8 List-A games, taking 16 wickets, and 3 T20s with no wickets, last playing a T20 in 2023.
•KKR is also awaiting the return of injured Matheesha Pathirana and is yet to find a replacement for Harshit Rana, while mentor DJ Bravo expressed confidence in available Indian options.
