March 14, 2001: Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman forged a legendary partnership in the Kolkata Test of the 2001 Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

India, forced to follow-on by Steve Waugh's Australia, was 115/3 when Dravid joined Laxman at Eden Gardens.
•
Laxman scored a then-record 281, while Dravid added 180, stitching a monumental 376-run stand for the 5th wicket.
•
Their epic defiance against Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne led India to declare at 657/7, overturning Australia's lead.
•
India secured an unbelievable 171-run victory, becoming only the third team in history to win a Test after being asked to follow on.
