RCB Sold for Record Rs. 16,700 Crore to India-US Consortium

IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) sold for USD 1.78 billion (Rs. 16,706 crore) to an India-US business consortium.
•
The consortium includes Kumar Mangalam's Aditya Birla Group, The Times of India Group, David Blitzer’s Bolt Ventures, and Blackstone.
•
This marks the biggest-ever sale in IPL history, surpassing Rajasthan Royals' USD 1.63 billion deal.
•
Aryaman Vikram Birla will be Chairman, with Satyan Gajwani as Vice Chairman; David Blitzer and Viral Patel also in ownership.
•
The sale represents a 1,360% jump from the original $111.6 million purchase by Vijay Mallya's United Breweries Group.
