Kerala Launches Nation's First AI Awareness Drive for 6 Lakh Parents

• Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) launched "Sarvam AI Mayam," a large-scale AI literacy drive.
• The initiative aims to train 6 lakh parents through students from Little KITEs IT clubs across 2,200 units.
• The two-hour training module covers both opportunities and risks of AI, including practical applications like identifying birds/plants and real-time translation.
• Parents learn to use AI for creative tasks like composing poems and planning travel, and for photo restoration.
• The program also educates on identifying deepfakes, manipulated images, and cloned voices, promoting responsible internet behavior.
