Congress Releases First List for Assam Polls; Gaurav Gogoi to Contest from Jorhat

•Congress announced its first list of 42 candidates for the upcoming Assam Assembly elections.
•Gaurav Gogoi, Deputy Leader of Congress in Lok Sabha and Assam PCC chief, will make his Assembly poll debut from Jorhat.
•Congress Legislature Party leader Debabrata Saikia is fielded from Nazira, with other key candidates also named.
•Gogoi thanked party high command, including Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi.
•Gogoi's debut is significant as Congress aims to regain power after a decade, facing allegations from CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.
