India's Second LPG Carrier 'Nanda Devi' Arrives at Gujarat Port Amid West Asia Crisis

India's second LPG carrier, 'Nanda Devi', safely arrived at Vadinar port in Gujarat, carrying 46,500 metric tonnes of gas.
•
The vessel navigated the Strait of Hormuz amidst the ongoing West Asia conflict, following the first ship 'Shivalik' which reached Mundra Port.
•
The LPG cargo will be transferred to a daughter ship, BW Birch, for distribution to Ennore (Tamil Nadu) and Haldia (West Bengal).
•
The transfer operation is expected to take two days, with incoming LPG vessels being accorded top priority by the Ministry of Ports.
•
India imports a significant portion of its energy needs from the Middle East, and the crisis has impacted supply routes like the Strait of Hormuz.
