Ameesha Patel faces non-bailable warrant in 2017 fraud case

• Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel has a non-bailable warrant issued against her by a Moradabad court in a 2017 fraud case.
• She is accused of not appearing for court hearings and allegedly accepted Rs 14.5 lakh in 2017 for a wedding performance but did not attend.
• Pawan Kumar Verma, owner of Dream Vision, filed the complaint, stating Ameesha demanded an additional Rs 2 lakh at the last minute and then left without performing.
• Ameesha allegedly failed to reimburse the Rs 11 lakh advance payment and is charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
• She was previously involved in a similar case in 2018 regarding an unfinished film, which was resolved in 2024 after she repaid Rs 2.5 crore.
