•Nemesio Ruben Oseguera Cerantes, aka El Mencho, leader of Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), reportedly killed in military operation.
•His death sparked unrest, with vehicles torched and highways blocked across states.
•El Mencho's wife, Rosalinda Gonzalez Valencia, known as “La Jefa,” manages CJNG's assets and financial operations.
•She was sentenced to five years for money laundering in December 2023, released early in February 2025 for good conduct.
•El Mencho's children, Rubén Oseguera Gonzalez and Jessica Johanna Oseguera, have also faced legal troubles and imprisonment.
