Teen Prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi Honored, Misses Vijay Hazare Trophy for U-19 World Cup

  • Vaibhav Suryavanshi, 14, received the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar at Rashtrapati Bhavan for his sporting achievements.
  • The award ceremony means Suryavanshi will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
  • He recently became the youngest player (14 years, 272 days) to score a century in men's List A cricket, smashing 190 runs.
  • Suryavanshi also set a new record for the fastest 150 in men's List A cricket, reaching it in just 59 balls.
