ED Challenges Winzo Co-founder Nanda's Bail, Fights Salary Account Relief in Karnataka HC
•The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has moved the Karnataka High Court to cancel the bail of Winzo co-founder Paavan Nanda in a money-laundering probe.
•ED is also challenging a High Court order that allowed Winzo's subsidiary, Zo Pvt Ltd, to partially unfreeze bank accounts for employee salary disbursements.
•Nanda was granted bail by a Bengaluru sessions court on a ₹5 lakh bond, but ED seeks to overturn this decision.
•The agency previously challenged the bail granted to Winzo co-founder Saumya Singh Rathore on similar grounds.
•The High Court had permitted salary payments from Zo's frozen accounts, emphasizing that employees should not be indefinitely stalled, a ruling now contested by ED.
