I&B Ministry's Cleanliness Drive: ₹1.37 Cr Revenue, 77,000 Sq Ft Space Freed

  • The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) concluded Special Campaign 5.0, a month-long nationwide cleanliness and efficiency drive.
  • The campaign, from October 2 to October 31, 2025, generated ₹1.37 crore in revenue and disposed of 2.62 lakh kg of scrap.
  • It resulted in freeing up 77,348 square feet of office space and clearing over 35,000 files.
  • All India Radio (AIR) led in outdoor cleanliness campaigns (527) and freed the most space (56,969 sq ft).
  • Since 2021, the ministry has disposed of 12.88 lakh kg of scrap, generated ₹34.77 crore, and freed 13.67 lakh sq ft of space.
