Bihar's 11-year-old Kamlesh Kumar posthumously awarded PMRBP 2025 for heroic drowning rescue

• Kamlesh Kumar, an 11-year-old from Bihar, posthumously received the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) 2025 for exceptional bravery.
• He tragically lost his life while successfully rescuing another child from drowning in the Durgawati river in Kaimur district.
• His body was recovered after a 20-hour search operation, approximately 15 km from his village.
• Kamlesh is among 20 children nationwide honored with the PMRBP 2025 across six categories, including Bravery.
