• Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor assumed the role of Vice Chief of Air Staff for the Indian Air Force (IAF) on 01 Jan 26.
• Prior to this appointment, he served as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the South Western Air Command (SWAC).
• Kapoor succeeds Air Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari, who retired after four decades of illustrious service.
• Commissioned into the Flying Branch in Dec 1986, he possesses rich experience flying various fighter and trainer aircraft.
• He received a Guard of Honour and paid tribute at the National War Memorial in Vayu Bhawan.
