Delhi Woman Escapes Rape Attempt, Hides Overnight in Nainital Forest

•A Delhi woman on a solo trip to Nainital escaped an alleged rape attempt by her taxi driver.
•The driver diverted the vehicle onto a deserted road, assaulted her, snatched her phone, and attempted rape.
•She hid in a Nainital forest overnight, injured and without her phone, before reaching Patwa Dangar village for help.
•Police arrested the accused, Deepak Singh Bora (39), recovered her stolen phone, and seized the vehicle.
•Nainital SSP Manjunath TC stressed tourist safety and warned taxi owners about strict driver verification.
