Government tightens AI content rules, bans child abuse material, mandates clear labelling

Companies must prevent creation, publication, or dissemination of AI material prohibited by existing laws like BNS and POCSO.

AI-generated content involving child sexual abuse, obscene, vulgar, or sexually explicit material is banned.

Rules also prohibit false document creation and development of explosives via AI.

AI-generated content must be clearly and prominently labelled, with a unique identifier for traceability.
