IMD Issues Cold Wave, Fog, Rain Alerts for North, Central India; Delhi on Yellow Alert

• IMD has issued Orange and Yellow alerts for severe cold wave and dense fog across North and Central India.
• Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh are under an Orange alert for very dense fog and significantly below normal day temperatures.
• Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Assam are under a Yellow alert for fog and cold conditions.
• Light to moderate rain and snowfall are predicted for Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand until January 22.
• A Cold Day alert is in effect for parts of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, West Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Odisha.
