India Nears Mega Rafale Jet Deal Ahead of Macron's Visit

• India's Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) is set to clear a deal for 114 Rafale fighter jets next week.

• Valued at Rs 3.25 lakh crore, the proposal includes 88 single-seat and 26 twin-seat Rafale aircraft for the Indian Air Force (IAF).
• Around 80% of the jets are expected to be manufactured in India, aligning with the "Make in India" initiative.
