Jaishankar: India Monitoring Iran Situation, Indians Not Stranded

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar informed Parliament that India is closely monitoring the situation in Iran following protests.

The Indian Embassy in Tehran is in regular contact with 9,000-10,000 Indian nationals, including students, workers, and pilgrims.
•
Indian nationals are not considered stranded as Iranian airspace remains open with regular air connectivity to India.
•
No special evacuation has been arranged; Indians wishing to leave are advised to use commercial flights.
•
India remains in touch with various interlocutors, including a recent call between Jaishankar and his Iranian counterpart.
