Fake IAS Lalit Kishor arrested in Gorakhpur for fraud, extortion, hiring gunmen

• Man posing as IAS officer 'Gaurav Kumar' (Lalit Kishor) arrested in Gorakhpur, UP, for running an extensive extortion racket.
• Kishor used beacon-fitted cars, forged government plates, and hired 10 gunmen and a stenographer to maintain his fake identity.
• He conducted fake inspections, promised tenders and jobs, and extorted large sums from private schools and individuals across UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, and MP.
• Two associates, Abhishek Kumar and Parmanand Gupta, were also arrested in connection with the fraud.
• Police seized forged IDs, cash, jewelry, and AI-generated photos; victims are urged to report to the police.
