NDA Replaces MGNREGA with GRAMIN, Revamps UPA-Era Schemes & Landmarks

• The NDA government proposes replacing MGNREGA with the Viksit Bharat–Guarantee for Rozgar and Aajeevika Mission (GRAMIN) Bill.
• The GRAMIN Bill aims to guarantee 125 days of wage employment per rural household, aligning with the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
• Numerous UPA-era welfare schemes have been revamped and relaunched under new names by the Modi government, including the National Food Security Scheme (now Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana) and Indira Awas Yojana (now Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana).
