PM Modi Flags Off New Amrit Bharat Express Trains, Vande Bharat Sleeper

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off four new Amrit Bharat Express trains and the first Vande Bharat Sleeper train for Howrah-Guwahati from West Bengal.
• The new trains aim to provide comfortable, fast, and safe travel, connecting North Bengal with western and southern parts of the country.
• Amrit Bharat Express trains use 'push-pull' technology for faster travel and offer improved seating, foldable snack tables, LED lighting, and air-spring suspension.
• Routes include New Jalpaiguri to Nagercoil/Tiruchirappalli and Alipurduar to SMVT Bengaluru/Panvel.
• Sleeper Class has a minimum travel distance of 200 km (base fare Rs 149), and Second Class 50 km (base fare Rs 36); RAC seats will not be available in Sleeper Class.
