PM Modi Unveils ₹10,601 Cr Assam Fertiliser Plant, Boosts NE Economy

• PM Modi laid the foundation stone for a ₹10,601 crore AVFCCL ammonia-urea plant in Dibrugarh, Assam.
• The facility, Assam Valley Fertiliser and Chemical Company Ltd (AVFCCL), will be commissioned by 2030.
• It will have an annual urea production capacity of 12.7 lakh metric tonnes, located within BVFCL's Namrup premises.
• The project aims to meet fertiliser needs of the Northeast, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Eastern UP.
