PM Modi Inaugurates Seva Teerth, Calls North, South Blocks 'Symbols of British Empire'

• PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the Seva Teerth complex, the new Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), ending 80 years of operations from South Block.
• He described the inauguration of Seva Teerth and Kartavya Bhavan 1 & 2 as 'a new history in the making' reflecting aspirations for 'Viksit Bharat'.
• Modi stated that North and South Blocks, despite hosting important post-independence decisions, were originally built as symbols of the British Empire.
• The new complexes, Seva Teerth and Kartavya Bhavan, are designed to be symbols of a confident, self-reliant India, shedding colonial mindset.
• Seva Teerth will house the PMO, National Security Council Secretariat, and Cabinet Secretariat; North and South Blocks will become the Yuge Yugeen Bharat National Museum.
