  • The satellite was sent into medium Earth orbit using a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, lifting off from Space Launch Complex 40.
  • The GPS III satellites, manufactured by Lockheed Martin, are more advanced and equipped with M-Code, a secure military GPS signal resistant to jamming.
  • The mission involved Space Systems Command (SSC) for launch planning and Combat Forces Command (CFC) for satellite management.
  • SpaceX used a reusable Falcon 9 booster (B1096) which landed safely on a floating platform in the Atlantic Ocean, marking its 564th booster landing.
