Train Luggage Rules Tightened: Pay for Excess Baggage, Says Ashwini Vaishnaw

  • Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw confirmed charges for luggage exceeding free allowance in trains.
  • Class-wise limits apply: Second Class (35kg free/70kg max), Sleeper (40kg free/80kg max), AC 3 Tier/Chair Car (40kg max).
