UP STF Nabs Wanted Liquor Kingpin; IGI Customs Seize Rs 6 Cr Drugs

• Uttar Pradesh STF arrested Navdeep Singh alias Navi Grewal alias Lucky Singh, a wanted inter-state liquor smuggling kingpin, from Zirakpur, Punjab.
• Singh, carrying a Rs 1 lakh reward, was wanted in an excise and fraud case in Prayagraj and confessed to supplying illicit liquor to UP, Bihar, and Jharkhand.
• The arrest was made on January 4, 2026, based on sustained intelligence inputs.
• In a separate incident, Customs at IGI airport arrested a passenger from Kuala Lumpur for smuggling narcotics worth Rs 5.91 crore.
• The drugs were found concealed in 12 polythene pouches within a black-coloured trolley bag.
