• South Western Railway announces special express trains to manage Makara Sankranti festive rush.

• The Bengaluru–Bidar special train service is extended from January 2 to February 28, covering 17 additional trips.
• Trains will halt at key stations like Tumakuru, Shivamogga Town, and Sagara Jambagaru, benefiting central and coastal Karnataka.
• Temporary change: Bengaluru-Bidar trains on Jan 3 & 4 will start/terminate at Yelahanka due to maintenance at SMVT Bengaluru.
