•The court clarified that a wife's primary marital duty is towards her husband and children, not legally towards in-laws.

•Under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, the son has the primary responsibility for his parents' care.
•A daughter-in-law has no direct legal right to her in-laws' property; her rights are limited to her husband's earned property.
