•Self-proclaimed astrologer 'Captain' Ashok Kharat, known for predicting futures of politicians and celebrities, arrested by Nashik Crime Branch.
•Arrested for allegedly assaulting a 35-year-old woman; police nabbed him at 3 AM on Wednesday.
•Kharat, a retired Merchant Navy officer, gained prominence after then CM Eknath Shinde visited his temple in November 2022.
•Police seized a pen drive containing 58 objectionable videos, investigating potential blackmail and identity of individuals in videos.
•Accused of defrauding people under the guise of astrology and exploiting women under the pretext of spirituality.
