Kumbh Mela 2027: Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Prepares with Major Pond Purification Project

• Extensive development works are underway in Nashik and Trimbakeshwar for the Sinhastha Kumbhamela 2027.
• Kushavart Kund in Trimbakeshwar's Mahadev Temple will undergo a water purification and rejuvenation project.
• The project, under CSR, aims to keep the pond water clean and suitable for bathing, reducing the recycling cycle to under 3 hours during the Mela.
• Separate arrangements will be made for offerings (nirmalya) to prevent water pollution.
• State Archaeology Department will preserve and conserve the Kushavart area, including temple renovation, step repairs, changing rooms, and lighting.
