8-Month-Old Murder Uncovered in Nagpur by Single Note; Cook Strangled Over Mobile Dispute

An 8-month-old murder of cook Pratap Singh Mahadevsingh Bais in Ramtek, Nagpur, was uncovered by police.
•
Pratap Singh, originally from Vile Parle, Mumbai, worked at 'Tourist' dhaba in Navargaon, Ramtek.
•
The crime was revealed during a missing person investigation when police found a crumpled note with the sentence "I have not stolen anything...".
•
Piyush, son of dhaba owner Kailas Thackeray, confessed to strangling Pratap Singh and burying his body behind the dhaba.
•
The motive was a dispute over a stolen mobile phone, with Piyush accusing Pratap Singh of theft. Police exhumed the skeleton.
