SRPF Jawan Vilas Shinde Dies by Suicide in Solapur, Investigation Underway

•Vilas Sarjerao Shinde, a 35-year-old SRPF jawan, committed suicide by hanging at his in-laws' house in Mulegaon, Solapur.
•Shinde was part of SRPF Force Group No. 7 in Daund; his wife, Poonam Sham Kale, is a police officer in Solapur.
•The incident occurred on Thursday, March 12, 2026, around 8 PM; he was declared dead at a private hospital.
•He is survived by his mother, wife, a five-year-old daughter, and a three-year-old son.
•Solapur Taluka Police are investigating the exact reason behind the suicide, which remains unclear.
