•The accident occurred between 5:30 and 6:00 AM near Ratnapur Pati on the Solapur-Dhule National Highway in Dharashiv.
•Couple was traveling to Latur for Akshaya Chavan's Mahaparation exam in a Tata Nexon car.
•Driver lost control on a sharp turn, hitting the toll plaza arch; driver critically injured.
•The incident has cast a pall of gloom over both families and the entire Vashi taluka.
