India's Sugar Exports Hit 2.01 Lakh Tonnes by Feb 2025-26: AISTA

• India exported 201,547 tonnes of sugar by February in the 2025-26 marketing year, with UAE as the top destination.
• Sugar exports are government-controlled via quotas; 2 million tonnes approved for 2025-26, including an additional 500,000 tonnes.
• White sugar comprised 163,000 tonnes and refined sugar 37,638 tonnes of total shipments.
• Top destinations include UAE (47,006 tonnes), Afghanistan (46,163 tonnes), Djibouti (30,147 tonnes), and Bhutan (20,017 tonnes).
• India's sugar production is estimated to rise 13% to 29.6 million tonnes in 2025-26, excluding ethanol diversion.
