Tata Power Eyes Strong Q4 Growth: Mundra Plant Restart, Rising Demand Fuel Optimism

  • Tata Power anticipates a significantly stronger March quarter (Q4) performance, driven by the restart of its Mundra plant and an expected 7-8% increase in electricity demand.
  • Managing Director and CEO Praveer Sinha confirmed that demand began improving in January and is projected to rise through February and March due to climbing temperatures.
  • The Mundra plant is expected to commence operations by the end of the month, contributing to better results compared to Q3FY26 and the same period last year.
  • Tata Power is confident of robust performance across all its businesses, including cell and module manufacturing, rooftop solar, distribution, transmission, and existing generation assets.
  • Discussions for the Mundra plant's PPA with the Gujarat government are nearing finalization, with all 12 issues agreed upon, and other procuring states expected to follow suit.
