GMDC Secures Environmental Clearance for Kutch Lignite and Limestone Project

•Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd (GMDC) received environmental clearance for its Lakhpat–Punrajpur Lignite and Limestone Mine in Kutch, Gujarat.
•The project is approved for 3.0 MTPA of lignite and 29.81 MTPA of limestone.
•This clearance is a key regulatory milestone, enhancing long-term production visibility and strengthening GMDC's mineral resource base.
•Integrated development of these resources will support energy generation and cement sectors.
•GMDC recently signed an MoU with NTPC Limited to explore opportunities in coal and lignite gasification.
