- •International Gemmological Institute India Ltd. (IGI) shares worth ₹7,735 crore become eligible for trade as a one-year lock-in period ends today, December 22.
- •Approximately 244.4 million shares, representing 57% of the company's outstanding equity, are now free from lock-in, as per Nuvama Alternative & Quantitative Research.
- •The end of the lock-in period allows these shares to be traded but does not mandate their immediate sale in the open market.
- •Promoters, including Blackstone's BCP Asia II TOPCO Pte Ltd., hold 76.55%, while prominent foreign investors like Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and Government of Singapore also have stakes.
- •IGI, the world's largest independent certifier for diamonds, saw its stock close at ₹316.5, down 24% from its IPO price and halved from its post-listing high.
