IREDA Shares Surge After Board Approves ₹2,994 Crore QIP

  • IREDA shares gained on Monday after its board approved raising ₹2,994 crore through a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP).
  • The fundraise is contingent on the Centre's shareholding not diluting by more than 3.76% post-issue.
  • The company previously raised ₹2,005.9 crore via QIP in June 2025 at ₹165.14 per share; current stock is at ₹130.
  • A successful QIP could reduce the Centre's holding from 71.76% to 68%, assuming a 3.76% dilution.
  • IREDA's loan book grew 31% in Q3 FY26 to ₹87,975 crore, and additional capital may boost its CRAR by 200 basis points.
