Tata Power Boosts UP Grid: Commissions Two 765 kV Corridors, Evacuates 3,000 MW

• Tata Power commissioned two critical 765 kV extra high voltage (EHV) transmission corridors in Uttar Pradesh.
• The corridors, Mainpuri–Bara (380-circuit km) and Mainpuri–Unnao (194-circuit km), enhance northern region's power network and grid reliability.
• Developed under the SEUPPTCL project, these lines will evacuate over 3,000 MW of thermal power, ensuring grid stability and energy security.
• The project, acquired by Resurgent Power Ventures (a Tata Power JV), involved complex engineering and significant resource deployment.
• Tata Power now operates 5,312 circuit km of transmission lines, with 1,997 circuit km under construction, strengthening India's grid.
