e-SIM Fraud: No Call, No OTP, Phone Signal Lost, 11 Lakhs Vanish from Mumbai Woman's Account

• A Mumbai woman lost 11 lakh rupees to an 'e-SIM fraud' without sharing any OTP, after her phone signal suddenly disappeared.
• Fraudsters impersonate telecom officials, claiming SIM upgrades, and trick victims into providing personal details to activate an e-SIM on their own device.
• Once the e-SIM is activated on the fraudster's phone, the victim's SIM deactivates, causing loss of network and diverting all bank messages and OTPs.
• The Ministry of Home Affairs' I4C department has warned the public about this dangerous scam.
