• The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed strict restrictions on Guwahati Cooperative Urban Bank due to its deteriorating financial condition.
• Customers of the bank can now only withdraw a maximum of 35,000 rupees from their accounts.
• The bank is prohibited from granting new loans, renewing existing ones, making new investments, or accepting payments without RBI's prior approval.
