•Mumbai Municipal Corporation announces 'Smart Parking Project' in its budget to tackle parking issues.
•A new mobile app will allow citizens to book parking spaces in advance, showing availability and fees.
•The project will be implemented on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) basis, reducing financial burden on the corporation.
•In the first phase, 530 new parking lots will be constructed, with more planned for subsequent phases.
•Underground parking near Siddhivinayak Temple and improved footpaths are also part of the city's development plans.
