Modi Govt Approves ₹19,142 Cr Nashik-Akkalkot 6-Lane Highway Project for Maharashtra

• Union Cabinet approved the Nashik-Solapur-Akkalkot 6-lane Greenfield Corridor, costing ₹19,142 crore, to be completed in two years on BOT (Toll) basis.
• The project will significantly boost connectivity in Nashik, Solapur, Marathwada, and Western Maharashtra, fostering industrial, agricultural, and commercial growth.
• It connects major expressways (Delhi-Mumbai, Agra-Mumbai, Samruddhi Mahamarg) and cities like Nashik, Ahilyanagar, Solapur, linking western to eastern coasts.
• The highway enhances freight efficiency for Kopparthi and Orvakal industrial nodes and complements the Pune-Nashik Expressway.
