UP Government Offers Rs 24,000/Hectare Subsidy for Vegetable Cultivation

• The Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh is offering a 40% grant, up to Rs 24,000 per hectare, for vegetable cultivation under the Chief Minister State Horticultural Development Mission Scheme.
• The scheme aims to boost farmers' income and promote vegetable production, benefiting small and medium farmers in Barabanki district.
• Subsidies are available for various vegetables including chili, tomato, broccoli, muskmelon, watermelon, eggplant, okra, bottle gourd, 56 pumpkin, carrot, and turnip.
• Farmers can avail benefits for up to 2 hectares of land, with a target of 50 hectares set for Barabanki this year (40 for general, 10 for Scheduled Caste farmers).
• To apply, farmers must register on the Horticulture Portal, after which selection is on a first-come, first-served basis, followed by verification and DBT payment.
