Cooperative Employees Strike Enters 10th Day, Demand GO 36 Implementation

Cooperative employees in Anakapalli district are on an indefinite strike since February 16th, now in its 10th day.
•
The strike demands the immediate implementation of GO Number 36, released in March 2019, which governments have neglected.
•
Employees are also demanding permanency for those hired after 2019, increased retirement age to 62, and gratuity as per law.
•
They seek term insurance of 20 lakh rupees for employees and immediate release of dividends to farmers.
•
People's organizations and labor unions, including CITU, have extended support to the striking employees.
