ONGC Blowout Victims to Receive Rs. 10,000 Relief from AP Government

• A massive gas blowout occurred at ONGC's Mori-5 well in Irusumanda village, Konaseema district, on January 5, causing fear and displacement.
• The blowout, which saw flames higher than coconut trees, affected Gubbalapalem, Lakkavaram, and Chintalapalli villages for nearly 5 days.
• ONGC has agreed to provide Rs. 10,000 compensation to each of the 6,300 affected families, with funds to be deposited by the first week of February.
