Tirupati: Illegal Gas Godown Raided, Hundreds of Cylinders Seized

• Authorities raided an illegal gas godown, 'Sri Balaji Cooperative Bharat Gas', on the outskirts of Tirupati city near Southern Spice Hotel on Tirupati-Chennai Highway.
• The godown operated without proper permissions and disregarded safety regulations, posing a major accident risk in a residential area.
• Special inspection teams led by Civil Supplies Officer Seshachalam Raju seized 592 commercial and 230 domestic gas cylinders.
• Despite possessing a 'B-form' license for the Tirumala region, the godown had no permission to operate at this specific location.
• A case has been registered under Section 6A, an FIR filed, and criminal proceedings initiated against the management for violations.
